Ultrasound workshops

Wednesday May 8, 2019: Basic Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia

The basic level focus is exclusively on in-plane needle guidance and single shot nerve blocks for perioperative analgesia. The blocks comprise a selection of easily learned and safe nerve blocks permitting effective perioperative analgesia of the upper limb, the lower limb, and the abdominal wall. The objective is to provide anesthesiologists with basic skills in order to alleviate perioperative pain related primarily to orthopedic surgery. The course and associated e-learning is developed by Thomas Fichtner Bendtsen, Professor (assoc.), Aarhus University Hospital.
